Kundalini Illuminations
The Full Moon Special Process for Kundalini Energy
When the moon rose in the sky we can not look away. With all her phases, she dances through the month bringing us in and out of ourselves. She is trying to show us that we too need a time to rest and we too have phases and emotions. Like the moon, we too get full and then go deep and dark.
There must be a way for human beings to process what they experience each day. We are beings that have the capability to watch our our own mind. The human capacity is like a house of mirrors; capable of multitudes of mental experiences. The Full Moon has a beautiful allure and we can use the best of us to help the hardness of us. That is the way of building consciousness. Make a special note of this process and check in with yourself every full moon to remember that you have the capacity to handle what comes to you and you can methodically find your way back to love and your harmonious home.
The time has come for us to learn how to create an integrated happiness within our bodies and our minds. This process includes meditation and exercise because the body and the mind; our physiology and our psychology. My experience supports this process, and science supports this process, the latest studies in the effect of yoga and meditation support this process. Dig in, learn, have fun being great and happy.
What follows is our FULL MOON KUNDALINI PROCESS but you can do any part of the class. There is a kriya/exercise set for your lower spine included at the end of the blog.
There are three meditations
1) Balancing the Sun and Moon
2) Morning Call – a powerful chant that opens the sunlight portal
3) The final mediation that explains the way to HANDLE ANY AND ALL THOUGHTS. If you just want that last meditation, scroll down to it and ENJOY!
ONG NAMO GURU DEV NAMO
Opening pranayama: Breath of Fire
Meditation – Balancing Sun and Moon
Sit like a good yogi in any such posture, which is known to you to be comfortable. Chest out, chin in. Bend the arms up by the sides with the wrists bent back – fingertips facing out from the sides of the body. Take care to maintain the hand position, palms up, fingers pointed away from the body, parallel to a line running through the shoulders. Eyes can be at the tip of the nose to start, but they should be relaxed and may roll up. Raise one hand, keeping the arm bent and hand level on the inhale. Return to original position on exhale. Using any method you can, pressurize the nostril on the same side to open it. Alternate sides. start with 11 minutes, build to 15. End with arms stretched up, looking through the 10th gate.
Warm up your body and your spine. From bottom to top. Suggested Kriya – For the Lower Spine or Basic Spinal Series, included below.F
Step One
Chant Long Ek Ong Kar 2.5 Breath Cycle using your imagination to move upwards through your spine till the crown where you become the drop and the ocean and imagine that merger, feel it if you can as you listen and merge with the mantra sound within you.
Cleaning the Central Channel with your imagination/mind, mentally removing any blocks – fill the central channel with light. One white light with no variations throughout the spine bottom to top.
The Mantra: Ek Ong Kar Sat Nam Siri Wahe Guru. (Ek Onnng Kaaar, Sat Naaam S’ree, Wha HayG’roo) Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine. Or, you may sit in a chair with a straight spine and both feet flat on the floor.
Place the hands in Gyan Mudra (first finger touching your thumb and resting on your knees). It is best to use a light blanket or shawl to keep the spine free from drafts. Close the eyes. Optionally, as you chant each syllable, you can concentrate on each chakra, from the first to the eighth.
The Meditation: How to Chant
Ek (One) Ong (Creator) Kar (Creation) Sat (Truth) Nam (Name or Identity) Siri (Great) Wahe (Beyond description) Guru (Dispeller of darkness, Teacher)
1) Inhale deeply and chant Ek Ong Kar. Ek is vibrated briefly and powerfully at the Navel Point. Ong is chanted in the back of the throat, vibrates the upper palate, and comes out through the nose. Keep the sound continuous as you move without a pause from Ong to Kar. Give equal time to Ong and Kar.
2) Inhale deeply again and chant Sat Nam until you’re almost out of breath, then reach for the Siri, which is brief. Sat is briefly and powerfully chanted at the Navel Point. Nam vibrates at the heart center and is long taking up time and space, like “Kar”. Siri is pronounced as if spelled S’ree; it is a short syllable.
3) Inhale a short half breath and chant Wahe Guru. Wahe is broken into two syllables, Wha and Hay. Wha is somewhat aspirated. Hay is extremely short. It becomes part of Guru which is pronounced as G’roo.
4) Inhale deeply again to repeat the cycle. Continue for 7, 11, 31, or 62 minutes or 2 ½ hours. FOR THE FULL MOON CLASS 11 MINUTES
To end: Inhale deeply, hold the breath, and focus at the Brow Point for several seconds, then exhale and relax.

“Whoever recites this mantra becomes absolutely divine, God in action… This mantra increases the pranic energy. There is no better healing than this.” – Yogi Bhajan
A): Listen the the Mantra in your mind silently repeating it and hearing it B): Begin Chanting the mantra or repeating aloud in monotone for a few minutes
C): Arms up over your Head in and ark with the elbows bent and fingers interlaced. Visualize the disc of the Full Moon directly over head
As you chant send the mantra send all thoughts up the spine and through the crown and through the center of the disc of the Moon above you. Continue to chant and let the thoughts attach to the mantra as they move through the light and into the center of the moon and then the cosmos.
Let go.
Let go of all the thoughts and see them dissolve into cosmic space and back into the infinite.
Be Happy
Exercise Kriya -WORKING ON THE LOWER SPINE
always follow your health care practitioners advice when exercising. All exercises can be modified as you wish and visualized if there is one or two that is difficult. You can reduce the times of any exercise as needed. when reducing the times, reduce all times the same percentage as this is a recipe with ingredients chosen and timed carefully. Enjoy!
April 24,1985 as taught by Yogi Bhajan-also located in the Yoga Manual Owners Manual for the Human Body – page 21
1. Sit on the floor and spread the legs as wide as possible. Lock thehands behind the back in venus lock. Bend to the left and touch the nose to the left knee and then bend to the right and touch the nose to the right knee. As you bend over each knee the arms come up. Chant “Har” as you bend down and “Haray” as you come up. 4 and 3/4 minutes.
2. Remain in the same position. Bend forward and chant “Har” asyou touch your nose to your left knee and rise up. Bend down again to the center and chant “Har” and come up. Bend to the right knee and chant “Haray” and come up. Continue for 1 1/2 minutes.
3. Sitting with the legs in the same position, raise the arms straightover the head and lock the hands. Twist the torso rapidly left and right keeping the arms straight. This loosens up the lower rib cage and lungs. 2 minutes.
4. Still sitting with the legs spread, lock your hands in front of yourchest and twist left and right. Use anger to fuel this movement, it is not a gentle movement, it has to be wild. 2 minutes. Feel wild but be careful of your spine.
5. Lie down on your back with the legs still spread wide and rest both hands at your navel point. Roll the tongue, stick it slightly past the lips, as in Sitali Kriya, and do Breath of Fire through the mouth while raising and lowering your torso like a sit-up. 5 minutes.
6. This exercise is done to the tape of “Har Har Mukande” (with affirmations) by Liv Singh Khalsa. In Frog Pose with your hands on the ground meditate at the third eye point. 6A) At each “Har Har” strongly pull in the navel point; 6B) at each “Mukande” lift up the buttocks and straighten the knees. 4 1/2 minutes. Do not strain knees or body – this can be very hard:).
Sit and meditate at your third eye point for 2 minutes.
